Taiwan: JiuFen

Here's my favourite part of the trip!

We were on our way to Jiu Fen!!

Remember to try the 'Bian Dang' (Bento) at Rui Fang train station!
It's a generous portion of great home cook dishes!

furthermore it's only 60NT!

Peanuts was really fragrant, but it's a pity the ice cream ruined it. (Cheap tasting)

If he had used haagen dazs worthy kind of ice cream this dessert would have tasted heavenly! =( 

This is FY's and my favourite dish of the trip. 

Super Q squid in salty and peppery seasoning. 

Yum-more-please!! ='(

Similar to our ice kachang

'Make chewy desserts!' seemed to be taiwan's policy.

I hate ice kachang but this is actually good!

Taiwan is known for celebrity spotting, but we got luckier!

We found a costume playhouse for only 25NT!!

double storey, 3 long racks of costumes + unlimited photo-taking on your phone/cam. 

Ernie boy isnt keen about dressing up so i dumped whatever i can on him to get at least 1 photo.

How coincidental that tt wore my kungfu shoes tt day, lol.

Enough of the costume house photos, i lost my iphone there but the friendly and honest staff called up sara, FY, Ernie..basically everyone on my recent call list. They refused to take a tip from me. Said "ze shi wo men de ze ren" (It's our responsibility!) OMG more love for taiwanese!!

There's lots of teahouse featuring the view of the mountains, so we randomly picked one to rest our feet.

Happy to find shelter from the 37.8degrees sun, what the hell.

Once again, if only it's winter season, perfect.

We had fishballs at this stall that's totally covered with their owner's photo. They also have 10 healthy puppies moving around in the stall. So cuteee!!

Taiwan: Raohe Nightmarket

First night market we visited: Raohe Nightmarket.

Extremely humid, sweaty and crowded!

Good to have it as ur 'last location of the day' on ur itinerary.

I would like to revisit nightmarkets in Taiwan during their winter season, i'll probably enjoy it a lot more.

This was right in front of the entrance, 'pepper puff'.
i love all peppery food so needless to say i love this!
Gladly replace this with our local old chang kee puff.

Sara & Ernie seemed to like the next 2 item very much,
 but no love from me cuz it's too blend for my tastebuds.

We found an empty 'stand n eat station' with a tiny fan

 to munch on our purchases, away from the crowd.

Fangyi said this is recommended, so we ordered the

  'Thai chilli' flavor for our chicken.

So pretty much just chicken with sweet thai chilli sauce.

But the chicken was juicy!

I'll  love to try the teriyaki flavor and 2 other flavors on my next trip.

Sausages with different salty seasonings!

Worth the $,worth a try!

'Shaved ice' was our lifesaver, i swear i was melting along with the ice.

 Or i was close to passing out.

Didnt get a photo cuz those stupid boys ate half of it
before we got there with the camera!

The jelly was bouncy and chewy, definitely better than SG's!

Ending our night with BBQ Scallop! Slurp!

Took us about 40-60mins to do a U-turn out the the main entrance!

Watch out for stalls selling unique hp accesories!
They are, however, not cheap =(
