Food tasting @ Empire State

Supposedly a food tasting session with the ZA Marketing Team at e pre-opening of Empire State @ Causeway point. 

We were allowed to pick anything on the menu, unfortunately only Sam & I could make it down.

The rest of them were held up at the previous event. So our tiny stomach could only try the very few items below. =(

Clam chowder - thumbs up*

can nv go wrong.

Sam ordered this prawn base thingy.

errr.. i really dont fancy it cos the 'xin wei' was too strong for me.

but she calls it exquisite taste =/

decided to order a crab paste pasta.

quite a unique taste, havent tried anything like tt.

& the portion is crazy huge, could barely finish half.

+ if i didnt remember wrongly i found close to 8 shrimps in the pasta!

Sam ordered Steak, likewise she couldnt finish it haha.

i guess it's partly bcoz we wanted to share the recommended dessert =)

definitely e richest i've come across,

i'll say it's worth its $100+ price tag.

Those who dont know, CPB is pretty much a Tai-Tai brand with its STAR product -

the fabulous 'La Creme' retailing at S$800+!

I've seen the result of the la creme on a colleague suffering from eczema, 

it works & tt's e product i'll be retaining my youth w when i'm 47.

Pls let me b rich enough to afford tt $_$

 

I kinda dab the pigmentation on my lower lip for the last photo, which explains the blotchiness.

Didnt know it'll show so clearly on the photo aft i upload it through my phone.

Picked up this tip from the makeup trainers:

Girls with thick lips can carry the intense red lips by dabbing on the color pigmentation instead of spreading it. it'll soften the intensity so we wont have tt swollen sausage lips.

Skyroom w Citybeat

Here's a post due long before i had my full-time HR job.

Was helping Cynthia out at her shop during my job hunt .

For your info, the original Skyroom is situated @ the entrance of Haji lane.

and they had their 2nd outlet at Clarke Quay Central level 1.

definitely more convenient IMO, so do check it out when you pass by. 

I'm really amaze at how Cynthia can put all the different items together and create some sort of a signature style. it's not easy, this woman has talent.

Even Citybeat came down to run an episode on it, and it kept all of us really excited tt day.

I swear Kim Ng's skin is 10x more radiant than mine. jealous!

The crowd went wild during the striptease!

Clearly remembered a woman behind me screaming & telling her colleagues she's taking off her wedding ring lol!

Aft the show they went ard the VIP lounge to mingle + take photos w all e fan girls.

My photo w no. 49 <3 who was also crowned the most eligible bachelor 2011!

and my 2nd fav, who won me over with his talent. 

+ the mesmerizing smile of cos!

Such night  event wouldnt be complete w/o my office babies.

Ultimately we all got high on free-flow white wine, but i'm not regretting it hehe..  

Valentines w myself

This fulfilling 2011 V day was spent alone at home baking

Italian name: Baci di Dama

Literally means 'Kisses from a Lady!'

'Half eaten cookie looked just like a person's pair of lips'

Baking noob me took 2 hrs to weigh & mix the dough & let chill for another 2 hrs.

i dont have an oven at home so i used microwave oven.

The ready biscuits after 30mins. So cute right!

 my sis helped to melt the choc

now the completed look! kinda like macaroons right?? hee..

For the 2nd batch my sis was telling me we have a bottle of food dye at home.
which happened to be the colour of valentines. RED! =) also mua favourite colour~

here's e new remix 

it was pretty tiring to mould the biscuits piece by piece.

plus im so anal about making identical twins.

they look so adorable on the pan right?

i used 'conv. bake mode' & it come out exactly e same size (left)

when i used 'cookie mode' it expanded (right)

 Dont they look like siblings...awww...

If i can do this again, here's what i'll change:

1. Fucking use the electric beater, dont be lazy to wash it!

2. Measure the sugar lvl properly! cos i added extra 20g & IMO it's TOO SWEET

3. Use dark chocolate instead, cos it's too sweet + compliments red better.
