Tmr's the new beginning!

I found a cool job and I'm starting tmr. How do I feel abt it? Taking a plunge into the unknown ocean depth.

Nervous, excited, worried, eager and extremely, extremely scared...

1.5 yrs away from the hectic OL lifestyle, I might have grown too used to living life at my own pace. But then again, I'll always survive somehow right? hah! Moving from one extreme to the other.

I can do this, I shld trust the interviewer who trust that I have the capabilities. All I need is a boss whom I'll respect and everything else will fall into place.

Here I'll kiss my baby MJKJ good-bye cuz I'm leaving it in the hands of my
sis, Aedy. She's e boss n she's in-charge now. =P Eat, breathe and grow MJKJ well k!

For e first time, I can truly feel how MJKJ has grown into my baby. As I'm doing my usual round of photoshoping, I felt an uneasy wash of guilt... and a bit of sadness. Been feeling very unsettled since I planned to leave MJKJ to e hands of my sister.

Almost like I'm guilty I'm gonna be neglect ing it for other priorities, it's crazy!

Lacey Nail Stickers

Been down with a 6 days long fever. I think by the time I hit 50 there isn't gonna be any med strong enough to keep me alive.

Anyway on a happy note, I saw this S$2.50 Lacey Nail Stickers on my 2nd trip to e doc today. The lady was selling a couple of lace design but I thought this set was very delicate. Think my O.P.I top&base coat is too 'thin' to hold up the stickers for long. I believe it's gonna come off in 2 days!!

Beitou Grand View Resort Hotspring + Shilin Night Market

One of the best choices we made in Taiwan was to go to
Beitou Grand View Resort Hot Spring
This 5 star hotel/resort is quite out of the way so you might wana go to the nearest train station Beitou MRT Station and take the complimentary shuttle service/ short cab ride up. 

We were hoping to find a private open air hot spring but none were available around the area. They're basically showing us standard hotel toilets with tiny bathtubs for 2.

Which is why we decided to pay abit more, 4000NT (approx.S$200) for a good 2hours private room.


Cozy Recreation Area 

Each private room consist of a resting area, hot spring, bathroom and shower area.

Separated my a huge sliding door, this is the resting area that comes with plasma tv, drinks and magazine. Very clean area where u can watch funny & extremely 'ba gua' taiwan news and fall aslp just anywhere u want.

Behind the TV console there's this changing/ chatting area (whatever u wana do there) with a mini fridge. 

It also comes with 2 simple wardrobes to hang out our stinky and sweat stained clothes to dry hehe

We were also given homemade yogurt, but erm...it's extremely sour!

We all agree that this hotel is totally worth its 5 star rating! *double thumbs up!

Not the best place to stay if u'll be travelling out all e time, but definitely a great place if u just want to have a pampering trip for yourself + ur family. Oh, actually families of 4 would be cabbing around alot, then maybe Beitou Grand View Resort can be a good choice for them. hmm..

Right after our pampering session, we've regained most of our energy for

  Shilin Night Market!

YESSS, the famous XXL Chicken! XXL indeed!

Then we went to the new underground Shilin night market
Fully air-conditioned, i'm loving it especially after being out in the 37 degree C.

I miss this sooooooo much: Da chang Bao Xiao chang 大腸包小腸 

Oyster Omelette, think we all prefer the Singapore version better

Surprisingly fragrant dish: Guan Cai Ban 棺材板

Not forgetting the famous Smelly Tofu 臭豆腐 

I swear SG's smelly tofu is literally shit as compared to TW's.
Quite thankful I gave these tofu another chance in Taiwan!

My buddy aint lovin' it still...

Mr High Profile

So I got a msg from Mr. High Profile this afternoon cuz he's wondering: What Teacher is doing at the moment. Honestly, i'm still not used to ppl calling me teacher after so long =/

I replied 2 msges and went on my usual 'act busy and reply 4 hours later'. Not that I wana be rude but truth was i'm very, very INTIMIDATED. What kind of convo am i suppose to have? 

I feel like a piece of worthless crap if i have to honestly admit that my Tuesday afternoon consist of: Waking up at 12pm, prolly gonna surf FB, add some photos to my site, bring grandpa his pork soup and teach for 1.5hrs in the evening. Meanwhile Mr. High Profile is sitting in his office signing approvals for his S$100,000+++ profit event that he's gonna make tmr night + expanding his business internationally with articles on google quoting his opinions.

Sharing about MJKJ had always made me feel a little proud about my entrepreneurial spirit, but on a scale of MJKJ to Mr. High Profile Enterprise it's like a piece of brick vs the Great Wall of China. I'll most likely end up sounding very juvenile.   

After 4 hours of acting busy i gave him a: 'i'm gonna start lesson, keep in touch again!'
His reply: Bye

He's obviously pissed at my lack of enthusiasm and manners. Hmm..i really didn't mean to screw it up this way and i definitely feel lousy abt it. Maybe it'll help if he's a decade younger. Plus maybe i should go back to Marketing for a year, just to stay current! Gah. (Of cos MJKJ will continue to run) Computer and kids screws up your social skills.

As for Mr. High Profile, this age gap is too much for more flirting but he seems like a great gentleman. Think it's pretty cool if we can be friends. Guess if anyone is sincere enough, one can turn a strained relationship around EVENTUALLY. right??
